THE ENVOY

The refresh of this lobby within a historic building won Emotive Architecture second place for Historic Design in the ASID Maryland Design Competition in 2015. We were tasked with re-activating the lobby of this building and bringing it back to its former splendor.

Our main focus was on transforming the space to create an interactive living environment that enriches the end user’s experience using aesthetics and function while supporting their activities. We appreciate that most residents and visitors want to experience a welcoming atmosphere and feel relaxed as they transition to their private spaces. We achieved this through the use of regal colors, new furniture arrangements, and curated art to provide residents with a more inviting and engaging experience.
